Start with an Accurate Answer
When you’re unsure if you’re pregnant, you might feel tense and uncertain. Begin with clarity. At ABC Pregnancy Care Center, we offer no-cost, confidential confirmation services through medical-grade urine tests and, if eligible, a limited ultrasound, allowing you to make informed decisions about your next steps.
Why Testing Matters
Home tests can be misleading if taken too early or not used exactly as directed. Our medical-grade urine tests accurately detect hCG, a hormone associated with pregnancy. After testing, we will explain your result in a private setting and discuss scheduling an ultrasound if you receive a positive result.
Why a Limited Ultrasound Is Crucial
A positive test is only the beginning. Ultrasound can clarify:
- Gestational age (how far along you are)
- Location (in the uterus vs. ectopic)
- Viability (whether the pregnancy is progressing and there is a heartbeat)
ABC offers transvaginal and abdominal ultrasounds, choosing the approach that best suits your stage of pregnancy. If you have a transvaginal ultrasound, a wand-like device called a transducer will be inserted gently into your vagina to produce the clearest images during early pregnancy. If you are further along, you’ll have an abdominal ultrasound, which involves moving a transducer over your abdomen.
Receiving an ultrasound is essential to exploring your options. Knowing how far along you are, for example, helps determine what’s available. Medical abortion is only FDA-approved through 10 weeks of pregnancy.
What’s more, if you’ve experienced a miscarriage, you may need medical follow-up. And if you have an ectopic pregnancy, which occurs when a fertilized egg implants in a location outside the uterus, you will need immediate treatment to prevent complications.
Why It Matters Before Any Decision
Whether you already have a decision in mind or need time to process, our caring team will ensure you leave with clear information.
